Almost There!

Just two days till my monthly weigh in. I have a feeling I may be at my goal. I’m very excited. My muscles are starting to grow a little, and the workouts are getting better, and I actually look foward to them. I have almost cut out all meat, just salmon, and sardines. Almost 5 months without deserts which is a miracle.

I feel like I could go outside and pick up my house. If I hit my goal weight this week, I may just do it!

Budget Gym Alternetives

I can neither afford or get to a gym. I have powerful workouts however, using things I already have around my house. Every other day I fill a wheelbarrow with bricks, and push it up and down the street in front of my house. (An old baby carriage will work too.)

You can keep adding weight, and further distance as you get stronger. For super intensity wear a backpack with a couple of large books in it. Your neighbors may look at you funny, but wait till they see the fat melting away over time,  as  you go by!

Weigh In. The Backside Of 40.

Yess.. Weighed in yesterday. Finally on the backside of 40lbs gone. I was a bit surprised since I have’nt been able to get outside, and woork much lately. I think adding a few calories, and protein really fired up my metabolism. 8 pounds to go. In the homestreche!

Back To Work

Didn’t get a great many heavy workouts last week because of the rain. Also took in a few extra calories this weekend. (Good ones- mozzarella cheese, a little red wine) Going out to lift some more logs today) I think I’ll slam my metabolism into overdrive. Expecting great results when I weigh myself Thursday. Everybody have a great week!

Only Had To Ask.

I’ve got a Knights Of Columbus banquet coming up tommorow night, and of course am concerned about breaking my diet. I found out who the caterers were, and called them this afternoon. They said they were serving chicken cordon bleu, but than asked if I’d like something else. She said she would get me a chicken breast and string beans with a yam instead of a baked potatoe. I thanked her profusly. She said not to worry about it, they frequently get those requests. A chef will accomadate you, if you only ask!

The rain, the park, and other things.

Raining for about the sixth straight day. Turned on the radio and it said my street was flooded! But cars are going by, so I guess its alright. My 2 dogs are funny. I live in the country, but they love when I take them to the park in town. (Must like to be around other dogs)

Haven’t been able to take them, but am playing with them, and finding things to do around the house. Got to stay posistive, and forget about this rain!

BTW the title of my post is a song from the early seventies. Whoever can tell me the name of the group who sang it gets a booster note!

GERD GONE!

Well, with my Doctors permission, I am going to throw away my acid reflux prescription. I went 3 days without taking it, and no symptoms! After taking it 2 times a day for 4 years this is a MAJOR victory! Sweet dreams everyone.

New Life

An exciting day at my house yesterday. My cat had 3 kittens! They are all doing fine, and will undoubtly be adorable! That new life has kinda been my theme lately. Losing almost 40 lbs has given me one. Lets face it, obesity is a diesese, and when you get yourself out of it, there is healing, physical, mental, emotional, and spirtual. Its like your born into a new life.

Anyway, if there is anyone in the Paris TN area, who wants a kitten, let me know! They’ll be ready to go about the 1st of June.
